These three Tuna fishing boats were sunk at this dive site just south
of Puerto del Carmen. The two shallowest of the wrecks sit in about
20 – 30 metres of water. The third wreck, sits at 30 metres.
With the visibility usually being extremely good at Tiñosa wrecks, this
is a dive to remember. The wrecks are home to a huge variety of fish
life – from small to big.
Accessible from shore, we descend from the cliff ladder to begin the
surface swim out to the first wreck. If shore based diving, we explore
the two shallowest of wrecks first, before heading back over the sand
spotting for angel sharks and rays, whilst heading back to the exit
point. As the access from shore is not suitable for all then this also
makes a great boat dive, allowing more time to explore the wrecks
and eliminating the surface swim.
Suitable for Advanced Open Water divers (or equivalent) and above. |
